During the weekend of 29-31 January 2010 we held the 7 secrets to Fan the Flame of Love in your marriage seminar in Mumias, Western Province, about 500km from Nairobi. Apart from our hosts, Fred and Rose Matsakha, three other couples participated. Due to time constraints we only presented the first secret to fan the flame of love in your marriage. The couples present were hungry for more and so have planned for a couples retreat to be held from 27 to 28 February in Rondo, a retreat centre in Kakamega Forest, one of the beautiful and scenic Equatorial forests in Kenya.
Immediately after the seminar we left for Eldoret, around 150 kms from Mumias at the invitation of Dr. Ngoitsi and his wife Fridah. During the service Pastor Rick of Sirikwa Pentecostal Church requested all couples to attend our seminar that afternoon. The seminar brought together 129 participants for the introduction to the Fan the Flame seminar. In attendance were the Pastors, elders, the whole leadership team of the Church, professionals and other members of the church. The church is now planning for a retreat where couples will go through the entire 7 secrets to Fan the flame of love in your marriage.
Before we left for Nairobi we dedicated an FTM centre in Eldoret town which will be run by Daisy. She is an advocate who served in the Judiciary but left for purposes of full time ministry and later after attending Woman of Peace decided to start an FTM centre. We hope to launch the Centre on 26th February 2010.
We know that the Lord is on our side and He is yet to do great things in 2010. Our laptops were attacked by viruses so they are down. Once they are repaired we will upload photos on the FTM website. ----Pastor Julius and Benji Akeng'a |
